We can make a division table just like we made a multiplication table. Spreadsheets will usually turn such tables into decimal quotients. Excel will allow you to see these quotients as fractions. We will use Concatenate to keep show the quotient as a ratio and not as a decimal so that you can again focus on the patterns in the table. Division is surprisingly our most important operation in terms of most of the problems we solve in our daily lives. Division produces numbers we call fractions or rationals and formulas we call ratios. With spreadsheets we concentrate on ratios and on the patterns of ratios.
